Troubleshooting: a recipe isn’t saving or isn’t showing up

Quick checks to fix the most common recipe issues.

Troubleshooting: a recipe isn't saving or isn't showing up

If a recipe isn't saving correctly or isn't appearing where you expect it, these
steps solve the vast majority of cases. Work through them in order before contacting support.

1. Make sure you're signed in

Your session can expire after a period of inactivity. If you try to save while your session has expired, the action may silently fail or redirect you to the login page. Sign in again and retry.

2. Check that required fields are filled in

Zavora requires at minimum a recipe title before saving. If the title field is empty or contains only spaces, the save will not go through. Check that your recipe has a clear, non-empty title before submitting.

3. Refresh the page once

The UI can occasionally be one step behind after a successful save — especially on slower connections. Refresh the page and check your recipe list again before assuming something went wrong. In most cases the recipe was saved correctly.

4. Clear your filters and search terms

If you're looking for a recipe in your library but can't find it, the most common reason is an active filter or search term hiding it. Clear any tabs, status filters, or search input and scroll through the full list.

5. Check which account you're signed into

If you use Zavora on multiple devices or have more than one account, confirm you're signed into the account where the recipe was originally created. Recipes are tied to the account that created them and won't appear in other accounts.

6. Try a different browser or clear your cache

Occasionally a stale browser cache can cause display issues. Try opening Zavora in a private/incognito window or a different browser to rule this out.

Can't edit or delete a recipe?

Zavora restricts editing and deleting to the original owner of a recipe. If you're viewing a recipe you saved from Discover (a copy of someone else's recipe), you won't be able to edit or delete the original — only your copy. Confirm you're looking at a recipe you created, not a saved copy.

Recipe saved but not appearing in Discover?

If you set a recipe to Public but it isn't showing up in Discover, give it a few minutes and refresh. Newly public recipes can take a short time to appear in community feeds. Also confirm the recipe visibility is set to Public and not Private in the recipe settings.

Still stuck?

Use the Contact Support form inside the Help Center (requires sign-in) and include:

  • What you were trying to do
  • What you expected to happen
  • What actually happened instead
  • Which page or section you were on

The more detail you include, the faster support can help.
